Here are the nominees for the Hernando County baseball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday. 

P Billy Eich, Sr., Wharton: Threw a one-hit shutout with seven strikeouts in a win over King. 

1B James Hankerson, Jr., Berkeley Prep: Went a combined 4-for-5 with a double, a homer, 10 RBIs and two runs scored in wins over Tampa Catholic and Lakewood. 

OF Drake Harman, Sr., Bloomingdale: Led the Bulls by going 5-for-7 with two homers, a double, six runs scored and five RBIs in wins over Sumner and Tampa Bay Tech.  

P Wes Mendes, Jr., Jesuit: Threw a one-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts in a win over Hillsborough. 

INF Lucas Richardson, Sr., Freedom: Ended up going a combined 7-for-11 with five runs scored in wins over Chamberlain, Brandon and Largo.
