Hillsborough County softball player of the week poll – April 18-23

Here are the nominees for the Hillsborough County softball player of the week. Voting lasts until noon on Saturday. 

SS Megan deVilliers, Jr., Sumner: Went a combined 7-for-11 with two homers, two triples, a double, seven RBIs and five runs scored in three games. 

P Robyn Herron, Sr., Sickles: Threw 22 scoreless innings, allowing six hits while finishing with a combined 45 strikeouts in wins over Durant, Fort Myers Evangelical Christian and nationally-ranked Doral Academy. 

C Natalia Leon, So., Riverview: Went 2-for-4 with a homer, three RBIs and two runs scored in a win over Gaither. 

2B/OF Kaylee Peavler, Jr., Lennard: Ended up a combined 5-for-8 with a double, a triple, a homer, eight RBIs and seven runs scored in wins over Plant City, Brandon and King. 

C/2B J.C. Thaxton, Jr., Robinson: Finished a combined 4-for-6 with a double, six runs scored and four RBIs in wins over Steinbrenner and Chamberlain.  

P Kelsey Winters, Sr., Newsome: Threw a combined 12 innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits while striking out 20 in wins over Bloomingdale and Sickles.
