Pasco County baseball player of the week poll – April 18-23

Here are the nominees for the Pasco County baseball player of the week. Voting lasts until Saturday at noon. 

C/INF Ramon Cintron III, Jr., Academy at the Lakes: Went a combined 6-for-12 with two doubles, a triple, six RBIs and two runs scored in three games. 

OF/P River Cole, Sr., Pasco: Powered the Pirates by going 3-for-4 with a homer, two RBIs and two runs scored in a win over Zephyrhills. 

2B/P Austin Dobbins, Jr., Zephyrhills: Threw five scoreless innings, allowing one hit while striking out five on the mound and was perfect at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three RBIs in a win over Lakeland McKeel Academy. 

SS/2B/P Michael Greenberg, So., Fivay: Went a combined 4-for-5 with a double, four RBIs and two runs scored in wins over Lecanto and Pasco. 

P/1B/C Trevor Harrison, Jr., Mitchell: Threw a combined seven innings, allowing three unearned runs on three hits with seven strikeouts on the mound and driving in four runs at the plate in wins over Clearwater Central Catholic, Clay and River Ridge. 

P/OF Zack Showalter, Sr., Wesley Chapel: The Wildcats’ ace was the unquestioned leader on the mound – and at the plate – in a win over perennial powerhouse Jesuit. Showalter threw a two-hit shutout with nine strikeouts. He gave himself plenty of support on offense by hitting two doubles, a homer and finishing with three RBIs.
