Hillsborough County softball team of the week poll — May 2-5

Here are the nominees for the Hillsborough County softball team of the week during the district tournaments. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday. 

Berkeley Prep: The Buccaneers won the Class 3A, District 9 title by beating Tampa Catholic 10-0 in the semifinals and defending state champion Academy of the Holy Names 8-4 in the final. 

Bloomingdale: The Bulls took home the Class 6A, District 7 title with wins over Bradenton Manatee (10-0) in the semifinals and Palmetto (3-0) in the final. 

East Bay: The Indians beat Braden River 4-1 in the semifinals and cruised past Sumner 8-2 in the final to take home the Class 5A, District 12 title.

Jefferson: The Dragons dominated the Class 5A, District 9 tournament, beating King 16-0 in the semifinals and Hillsborough 15-0 in the final. 

Newsome: The Wolves cruised to the Class 7A, District 6 title by beating Plant City 10-1 in the semifinals and Riverview 16-1 in the final. 

Robinson: The Knights showed off their stellar defense with wins over Chamberlain (15-0) in the semifinals and Lake Region (1-0) to take home the Class 4A, District 11 title. 

Sickles: Relying on a deep pitching staff, the Gryphons beat Gaither 4-2 in the semifinals and Mitchell 1-0 in the final to take home the Class 6A, District title. 

Strawberry Crest: The No. 2 seed Chargers got past Wharton 5-4 in the semifinals, then outlasted Wiregrass Ranch in a 10-7 victory in the final for the Class 6A, District 6 title.
