Pinellas County softball player of the week poll — May 2-5

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County softball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday. 

P/1B Angelique Ballew, Sr., Northeast: Tossed a five-hit shutout with three strikeouts in a win over Boca Ciega in the Class 5A, District 11 title game. 

SS Peyton Hoffman, Sr., Seminole: Went a combined 3-for-6 with four runs scored and an RBI in wins over St. Petersburg and Osceola to take the Class 5A, District 10 title. 

P/SS Makayla Oster, Sr., Dunedin: Threw a four-hit shutout with eight strikeouts in a win over Clearwater in the Class 4A, District 10 title game. 

1B Alayah Pedersen, Jr., Canterbury: Went 3-for-4 with an RBI, two runs scored and an RBI in win over Shorecrest in the Class 2A, District 10 title game. 

C/3B Jalyn Sharkey, So., East Lake: Ended up going a combined 4-for-6 with a double, a triple and homer to go along with four RBIs and three runs scored in wins over Palm Harbor University and Plant to take the 7A, District 7 title.
