Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County softball team of the week during the district tournaments. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday.
Canterbury: The defending state champion Crusaders dominated the Class 2A, District 10 tournament, beating Northside Christian 10-0 in the semifinals and Shorecrest 11-3 in the final to take home the title.
Dunedin: The Falcons won their fourth straight district title with wins over Ancote (16-0) in the semifinals and Clearwater (1-0) in the final of the 4A-10 tournament.
East Lake: The No. 2 seed Eagles got past rival Palm Harbor University with a 4-1 victory in the semifinals then beat Plant 6-2 in the final to take home the Class 7A, District 7 title.
Northeast: The Vikings won their first district title since 1999 with wins over Hollins (5-3) in the semifinals and Boca Ciega (12-0) in the final of the Class 5A, District 11 tournament.
Seminole: The Warhawks took home the Class 5A, District 10 title, beating Pinellas Park 4-3 in the semifinals, then knocking off rival Osceola 5-1 in the final.
