Pinellas County baseball player of the week poll — May 2-6

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County baseball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday. 

P/1B Trey Beard, Jr., Dunedin: Threw a three-hit shutout with 16 strikeouts on the mound and went 2-for-4 with a homer, two RBIs and a run scored in a win over Robinson in the Class 4A, District 7 title game. 

P/INF Ryan Cerrone, Sr., Northside Christian: Went 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored at the plate and threw two scoreless innings, allowing one hit and recording two strikeouts on the mound in a win over Shorecrest in the Class 2A, District 9 semifinals. 

P Hunter Dietz, Jr., Calvary Christian: Threw six innings, allowing one earned run on two hits and finished with 11 strikeouts in a win over Berkeley Prep in the Class 3A, District 6 title game. 

P Dearl Edens, Sr., Keswick Christian: Threw a three-hit shutout with 13 strikeouts in a win over rival Northside Christian in the Class 2A, District 9 title game. 

OF/P Jacob Green, Sr., Hollins: Went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI in a semifinal win over Northeast and had a walkoff single to beat Seminole in the final for the Class 5A, District 8 title. 

P/1B Tyler Saunders, Jr., Seminole: Threw a one-hit shutout with five strikeouts in a win over Boca Ciega in the Class 5A, District 8 semifinals that lasted five innings because of the mercy rule.
