Jesuit’s Troy Bowles picks Georgia

Jesuit’s Troy Bowles, the son of Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles, made his college choice known by announcing his commitment to Georgia on Saturday.

The decision was a much-anticipated one in recruiting circles. After all, Troy Bowles is a four-star recruit who is ranked as the nation’s No. 2 linebacker by 247 Sports and is considered one of the top 50 players overall in the country in the 2023 class by nearly every major recruiting service.

Bowles had more than 40 offers before whittling the list down to a top three. He picked the Bulldogs over his other finalists, Oklahoma and Ohio State.

Last season, Bowles helped lead the Tigers to a state title and finished with 103 tackles and three sacks.
