Outlook

Tyrone Hendrix was hired this offseason to replace Brian Wachtel, who left after one season. Hendrix becomes Fivay’s third coach in as many years. The biggest task is turning around a program that won two games last season and was shut out five times. The Falcons will rely on the running of Ty Wilson to get more production on offense. Wilson’s older brothers, Glass and Jayvon, were productive backs at Ridgewood and Fivay, respectively. Ty is capable of doing the same, especially after rushing for 401 yards and three touchdowns as a sophomore last season. Another potential gamebreaker in the backfield is David Williams Jr., whose father rushed for more than 2,000 yards as a senior at Gulf in 2007. The passing game – and secondary – could get a boost from Julius Quinones, who had 178 yards receiving and four interceptions two years ago as a sophomore at River Ridge.
