Leto assistant Ron Perisee, who previously coached at Alonso, was promoted this summer to take over the Falcons. He replaces Robert Spann, who left after two seasons. There was some retooling on both sides of the ball, especially after graduating 19 players from last season. Caleb Tilton will take over at quarterback. He has some weapons that will help with the transition, including Gary Whitehead and Jon-Alexander Smith. Up front, the Falcons will count on James Harris and Justin Isom to be leaders on both sides of the ball. Thanks to the schedule, Leto has a chance to gain some momentum early on. The first three opponents – Blake, Brandon and Freedom – won a combined two games last year.
