Outlook
Tony Rodriguez, an East Bay graduate who spent the past 15 years as an assistant coach, was hired to take over the Sharks. This is his first head coaching job. He replaces William Mosel, who left after five seasons. The offense already has some pieces in place with running back Rico Shoats (938 yards, three touchdowns last season) and receiver Harrison Hensley (419 yards, three touchdowns) both returning. Aaron Turner, a transfer from Lennard, takes over at quarterback. The leader on the offensive line is Jonathan Stark. Defensively, Niko Gnann (102 tackles) is the top returner. That unit also received a boost with the addition of Alloyius Tyson, a Jefferson transfer who had three interceptions with the Dragons last season. With so many playmakers back, Riverview has a chance for a quick start under its new coach thanks to a favorable early season schedule.
