Outlook

Former Northeast and USF standout Auggie Sanchez was hired this summer to take over the program. He replaces Chris Miller, who stepped down after nine seasons to take a college job. Sanchez had to scramble to field a coaching staff, raise money and figure out what he had on the roster the last few weeks. There are some veteran skill players, such as running back Christian Davis, receiver Omarius Davis and tight end Colby Outlaw, that Sanchez will rely on throughout the season. The offensive line also is coming together quickly after the first week of practice. The defense also has some experience with lineman Teddy Cotto and linebacker David Searles both returning.
