Outlook

After winning a combined three games in his first two seasons, Phillip Prior led Strawberry Crest to a 5-5 record last year. The win total is tied for the second-most in a single season in school history and was the program’s best finish since 2013. That gives the Chargers plenty of optimism especially since they return 17 starters from last year’s team. The offense is in great shape with the leading passer (Jordan Lewis), the top three leading rushers (Coby Burger, Ryan Weems and Devin Blunt) and the leading receiver (Quincy Hart) all returning from last season. On defense, the strength is in the secondary, a unit comprised entirely of three-year starters (Blunt, Hart, Weems and Marcus Springfield).
