Here are the nominees for the top running back in Hernando County. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Wednesday. 

Christian Cromer, Jr., Nature Coast: Became one of the premier rushers in the area after gaining 1,955 yards and scoring 21 touchdowns last season. 

Demarcus Langley, Jr., Hernando: Likely to have a more prominent role after rushing for 77 yards last season.  

Connor McCazzio, So., Springstead:  After rushing for 29 yards last season, he has a chance to improve significantly on those numbers this season. 

Malachi Russell, Sr., Central: The newcomer will be an all-purpose back for the Bears.
