Outlook

Jon Malandrucco, the former coach at Parrot Middle, was hired in the offseason to take over at Weeki Wachee. He replaces Chris Cook, who left after three seasons. It is a challenging job. After all, Malandrucco inherits a program that has lost 12 straight games, a streak that dates back to the end of the 2020 season. Still, Malandrucco is confident there can be significant improvement this season. The offense, which scored just 16 points a year ago, might still go through some growing pains with a young lineup loaded with potential. The strength likely will be on the defensive side with rushers Matt and Noah Frazier and a linebacking untit led by Jordon Jandro, Eryk Marcuccio and Mykel Theriault.
