Outlook

David Sevier, the wrestling coach at King, was hired in the offseason to take over the Lions football program. He replaces Jon Thompson, who left after three seasons. Sevier has the athletes to help transform King into a more competitive team, something that was needed considering all eight of the Lions’ losses last season were by 20 or more points. Caden Harrier, who played in three games as a quarterback a year ago, is now the full-time starter. Kyle Stewart, a transfer from Cambridge Christian, and Donald Walker, are speedsters who can be used in a variety of ways on offense. Walker, Gabe Morrell and Connor Wint are among the leaders on defense.
