Tuesday, Aug. 23
Tampa Prep at Clearwater Central Catholic, 6
One of the premier matches of the season between state-title contending teams. The lofty expectations for both programs stems from how much talent they have coming back this season.
Sunlake at Tampa Catholic, 6
The host Crusaders young but talented frontline will tested by the Seahawks quartet of Kendyl Okin, Vanessa Sierra, Maddie Snider and Alice Stryker.
Steinbrenner at Academy of the Holy Names, 6
Both teams have made deep playoff runs the past few years and should continue their postseason success based on what they have returning.
Strawberry Crest at Newsome, 7
The only meeting between the teams last came at a tournament. The host Wolves swept that match in two sets. This time, the Chargers are looking to exact revenge.
Robinson at Riverview, 7
The Knights, who rebounded from a tough start last season to reach the region semifinals, travel to take on the Sharks, who went 16-4 a year ago.
Wednesday, Aug. 24
Clearwater Central Catholic at Carrollwood Day, 6
An anticipated matchup between two of the top state title contenders in the area. Their status is due in large part to their loaded lineups that were aided by the addition of key transfers.
Thursday, Aug. 25
Plant at Calvary Christian, 5
The premier matchup of the week – and the season – featuring the area’s two defending state champions. Florida fans can also check out two local recruits – the Panthers’ Bella Lee and the Warriors’ Taylor Parks – who both committed to the Gators this summer.
Wharton at Bloomingdale, 7
The Wildcats take on the host Bulls for the first time since 2020. Both teams are coming off winning records.
Newsome at Sickles, 7
The Wolves, led by Kaley Kugler battle against the Gryphons in what should be a solid matchup at the net.
