The lowdown: In the season opener, Collado had a breakout performance, recording 10 tackles, two forced fumbles and an interception, as well as blocked two punts, in a win over Spoto. Fans took notice. Collado ended up with 47 percent of the votes (424) in the Hillsborough County defensive player of the week poll to beat out Blake’s Jadarian Collins, who had 28 percent (253 votes).
