The defending state champion Warriors, ranked third in the class by MaxPreps, are battle-tested. They have a pair of wins via sweep over defending state champion Plant and twice swept rival Clearwater Central Catholic, including last week’s 3A-10 district final. The Panthers had their five-match win streak snapped in the 3A-11 district title match.
