The Jaguars continued their tear through the region with their straight sweep to reach the state semifinals for the fourth straight season.

Academy of the Holy Names, ranked No. 4 in the class by MaxPreps, improved to 12-2 at home this season.

Now, the Jaguars have to wait for the seeding to be redrawn to find out they will host again in the semifinals.

Clearwater Central Catholic 3, Sarasota Cardinal Mooney 1

The Marauders advanced to the state semifinals for the first time since 2014 by beating Sarasota Cardinal Mooney in four sets.

After losing the first set 25-18, CCC stormed back to win the next three, 25-19, 25-19, 26-24.

The Marauders have plenty of experience rallying against quality competition. During the regular season, CCC came back from 2-0 deficits to beat Plant and Academy of the Holy Names in five sets.

The Crusaders had won 11 straight matches entering the region final.

But Keswick Christian knew it was going to be difficult to extend that streak

After all, the Crusaders were traveling to face the defending state champion Stingrays.

Keswick Christian battled, but it was enough to prevent a sweep.
