Here are the nominees for the Hernando County girls basketball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday. 

Lydia Jackson, Sr., Hernando: Averaged 10 points per game in wins over Springstead, Anclote and Citrus. 

Linsey Orr, Jr., Weeki Wachee: Averaged 11 rebounds and eight points in three games last week. 

Samantha Suarez, Jr., Springstead: Set the single-game school record for assists with 14 and became the school’s all-time assist leader with 180 in a win over Central.
