Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County team of the year in Classes 2-1 of the Metro Division, sponsored by the Army. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday.
Calvary Christian: The Warriors went 8-2 in the regular season and advanced to the region final for the first time.
Clearwater Central Catholic: The Marauders were the lone bay area team to advance to a state title game this season.
Indian Rocks Christian: The Golden Eagles went 9-2, winning more games this year than in the previous three years combined.
Lakewood: The Spartans advanced to the state semifinals for the second straight season, losing to eventual champion Miami Central.
Northside Christian: The Mustangs went 8-2 and won the Class 1, District 4 title in the Metro Division in Mike Alstott’s final season as coach.
