Here are the nominees for the Hernando County volleyball player of the year. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday. 

Addison Carpenter, So., Nature Coast: Recorded 252 kills, 168 digs and 48 service aces for the Sharks this season. 

Courtney McDermott, Sr., Weeki Wachee: Led the Hornets with 553 assists, 218 digs and 69 service aces this season. 

Emily Miller, Jr., Springstead: Ended up with 305 digs and 292 kills for the Eagles this season. 

Allora Murray, Sr., Weeki Wachee: The defensive specialist led the Hornets with 469 assists this season. 

Isabella Nunag, Jr., Springstead: Finished with 649 assists and 149 digs for the Eagles this season. 

Payton Meyers, Jr., Hernando Christian: Recorded 201 digs, 120 kills and 76 service aces for the Lions this season. 

Ezzie Thompson, Sr., Springstead: The Gulf Coast 8 player of the year recorded 310 kills, 257 digs, 44 blocks and 41 service aces. 

Kaiya Ward, So., Hernando: Led the Leopards with 217 kills, 133 digs and 71 service aces this season.
