Six Hillsborough County basketball players selected as McDonald’s All-American nominees — Jan. 11

Six Hillsborough County players – five girls, one boy – were nominated to play in the McDonald’s All-American boys and girls games March 28 in Houston. 

Four girls – Tyra Kennedy, Maia Lewers, Skye McCloud and Alaina Williams – are from Brooks DeBartolo. The other girls selection is Armwood’s Keyara Bromley. 

The lone boys selection is King’s John Ziegler, who recently set the school record for most career points. 

The final rosters of 24 boys and 24 girls will be announced Jan. 24 on ESPN’s NBA Today.
