Volleyball: Army Pinellas County player of the year (Classes 4A-2A) — Jan. 23

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County player of the year in Classes 4A-2A, sponsored by the Army. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Wednesday. 

Deanna Dollar, Sr., Calvary Christian: Made an impact for the Warriors by finishing with 258 kills, 71 service aces and 29 digs this season.  

Brooke Green, Sr., Clearwater Central Catholic: Ended up with 291 kills, 84 blocks, 67 digs and 31 service aces for the Marauders this season.  

Maria Happ, Jr., Shorecrest: Recorded 287 kills, 53 blocks and 40 service aces for the Chargers this season. 

Josie Hensley, So., Clearwater Central Catholic: Ran the Marauders’ offense efficiently, finishing with 962 assists, 304 digs and 104 kills this season. 

Hannah Jantomaso, So., Keswick Christian: Recorded 682 assists and 136 digs for the Crusaders this season. 

Sydney Melcher, Sr., Keswick Christian: Finished with 193 kills and 82 blocks for the Crusaders this season. 

Taylor Parks, Jr., Calvary Christian: One of the state’s top setters ended up with 791 assists, 168 digs and 113 kills this season. 

Madison Stoeckler, Sr., Indian Rocks Christian: Ended up with 482 assists, 263 digs and 135 kills for the Golden Eagles this season.
