Here are the nominees for the Hernando County girls soccer player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Thursday. 

Jillian Aldrich, Jr., Weeki Wachee: Scored both of the Hornets’ goals in a win over Hernando in the semifinals of the Class 4A, District 6 tournament. 

Sydney Cubillo, Sr., Springstead: Assisted on two goals in a win over Lake Minneola in the quarterfinals of the Class 6A, District 4 tournament. 

Yailen Soto Lebron, Sr., Nature Coast: Led the Sharks by finishing with four assists and three goals in a win over Central in the semifinals of the Class 4A, District 6 tournament.
