The Chargers, ranked No. 3 in the class, snapped a two-match losing streak to end the regular season by beating Canterbury 9-1 in the semifinals and Carrollwood Day 2-1 in the final of last week’s 2A-9 district tournament to take home the title. 

The Stingrays, the 2A-12 district champions, have won six of their last seven matches.

The Lancers are coming off their first loss of the season to Carrollwood Day (2-1) in the semifinals of the 2A-9 district tournament. 

That also ended Cambridge Christian’s seven-match shutout streak.

Still, the Lancers were able to host by ranking high enough with an at-large berth. 

To rebound, Cambridge will have to get past the Thunder, who have lost two of their past three matches, including a double overtime thriller to Imagine School of North Port in the 2A-11 district final.

No. 7 Indian Rocks Christian (10-7) at No. 2 Bradenton Saint Stephen’s (13-3), 7

This is a rematch from last week’s 2A-10 district final that the Golden Eagles lost 3-2. 

In that match, Indian Rocks Christian rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit but could not do enough to force overtime. All five of the Golden Eagles’ losses this season have been by a goal.

The Patriots recorded their biggest win when they knocked previously unbeaten Cambridge Christian in the 2A-9 district semifinals. 

In the final, Carrollwood Day’s five-match win streak ended with a loss to Shorecrest. 

The Sentinels, the 2A-11 district champions, have won five straight matches, all by three or more goals.
