Girls soccer: Pinellas County player of the week — Jan. 30-Feb. 4

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County girls soccer player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Thursday. 

Ellie Carrington, Sr., Seminole: Scored the go-ahead goal with six minutes remaining to lead the Warhawks to a 2-1 win over St. Petersburg in the Class 5A, District 9 title match. 

Kassie Fragale, Jr., Palm Harbor University: Recorded a combined two goals and an assist in wins over Alonso and Steinbrenner to help the Hurricanes take home the Class 7A, District 7 title. 

Ava Machido, Jr., Dunedin: Made four saves and posted consecutive shutouts in wins over Hudson and Gulf to lead the Falcons to the Class 4A, District 9 title. 

Avery McDonough, Sr., Shorecrest: Finished with a combined three assists and two goals in wins over Canterbury and Carrollwood Day to help the Chargers take home the Class 2A, District 9 title.
