This is a key opener considering both teams are in Class 2A, District 10. Last season, the Panthers won both meetings, including the semifinals of the 2A-10 tournament. 

Palm Harbor University at St. Petersburg Catholic, 7

Both teams had winning records last season. The Barons won the only meeting a year ago, 14-11. That helped St. Petersburg Catholic gain some early momentum enroute to a region quarterfinal appearance in Class 1A.
