Here are the nominees for the Hernando County boys basketball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Monday. 

Niko Cordello, Jr., Springstead: Ended up with 12 points, all on 3-pointers, and had six rebounds in a loss to Mitchell in the quarterfinals of the Class 6A, District 4 tournament. 

Braden Joyner, Jr., Central: Recorded his first triple-double of the season, finishing with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 10 steals in the semifinal win over Hernando in the Class 4A, District 9 tournament. 

Matthew Stumpf, Jr., Weeki Wachee: Finished with 10 points and seven rebounds in a win over Nature Coast in the semifinals of the Class 4A, District 9 tournament.
