Boys basketball: Tampa Bay area boys basketball player of the week — Feb. 24

Here are the nominees for the Tampa Bay area boys basketball player of the week from the region quarterfinals. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Monday

Jaxson Bless, Sr., Jesuit: Scored a team-high 14 points in a win over King in the Class 5A region quarterfinals. 

Eddrin Bronson, Sr., Tampa Catholic: Recorded 22 points, four assists and three rebounds in a win over Bradenton Christian in the Class 3A region quarterfinals. 

Marcus Calvin, Sr., Gibbs: Had 10 points, seven rebounds and five assists in a win over DeSoto County in the Class 4A region quarterfinals.

Chandler Davis, Sr., Wharton: Led the Wildcats with a team-high 31 points and had seven assists in a win over Immokalee in the Class 6A region quarterfinals. 

Derrick Doe, So., Tampa SLAM: Finished with 12 points, four assists and two steals in a win over Foundation Christian in a win over Class 2A region quarterfinals. 

Raffi Kalaydjian, Jr., Plant: Finished with a team-high 12 points in a win over East Lake in the Class 7A region quarterfinals.

Lucas Kolaxis, Sr., Lakeside Christian: Recorded 21 points and eight rebounds in a win over Naples St. John Neumann in the Class 2A region quarterfinals. 

Daniel Macgregor, Jr., Calvary Christian: Led the Warriors with a team-high 39 points in a double overtime victory over Northside Christian in the Class 3A region quarterfinals. 

Woody Machado, Sr., Alonso: Scored a team-high 14 points in a win over Plant City in the Class 7A region quarterfinals.

Jordan Naylor, Jr., Canterbury: Ended up scoring a team-high 34 points and had seven steals and four assists in a win over Naples Seacrest Country Day in the Class 2A region quarterfinals.

Lyrique Sartin, So., Brooks DeBartolo: Ended up with a team-high 26 points in a win over Berkeley Prep in the Class 3A region quarterfinals.
