Softball: Monday’s county schedules — March 6

What to watch

Bishop McLaughlin (2-3) at Weeki Wachee (1-5), 6

After starting 0-2, the Hurricanes have lost three straight. Bishop McLaughlin already has surpassed last year’s win total and needs just two victories to equal its total from the previous two seasons combined.

Fivay (4-1) at Sunlake (3-3), 6

The Falcons, winners of three straight games, are just two victories away from equaling last year’s win total. After starting 2-0, the host Seahawks have lost three of their last four games.

Gibbs (0-2) at Anclote (0-5), 7

The Gladiators, who are playing as an independent, have lost 55 straight games, a streak that dates back to 2018. This might be Gibbs’ best shot at a victory. The host Sharks are winless, though they nearly pulled off a victory in their last game, a 12-11 loss to Gulf.
