What to watch

Osceola (5-1) at Land O’ Lakes (4-1), 7

A premier matchup between two of the top teams in the area – and state. The Warriors are ranked No. 5 in Class 5A by MaxPreps. The host Gators are ranked No. 4 in 6A. The game also has a pair of outstanding pitchers in Osceola’s Aliyah Lai and Land O’ Lakes Aliana Mercado who will likely square off. 

Wesley Chapel (4-1) at Wiregrass Ranch (4-1), 7

The Wildcats have been dominant, winning their past four games by a combined 55-4. But this will be on their toughest tests so far this season. The Bulls have won three straight games, including a victory over defending state semifinalist Mitchell. 

Plant (4-1) at Riverview (4-1), 7

The Panthers, ranked No. 10 in Class 7A by MaxPreps, have won three straight games. That streak will be tested against the host Sharks, who rebounded from an opening night loss to Steinbrenner to win four straight games. 

Middleton (4-0) at Jefferson (3-1), 7

The undefeated Tigers have won their first four games by a combined 50-6. Since an opening night loss to Wharton, the host Dragons have won three straight games.
