Tampa Bay player of the week
Alyssa Stahl, Sr., Plant City
A playmaker on both sides of the ball, Stahl ended the opening week of the regular season with a combined 27 catches for 316 yards and three touchdowns on offense and had three interceptions on defense in four games.
Fans took notice.
Stahl finished with 42 percent of the votes (311) in last week’s Tampa Bay area player of the week poll to beat out Hillsborough’s Laya West, who had 31 percent (229 votes).
