Flag football: Tampa Bay area player of the week — March 6-10

Here are the nominees for the Tampa Bay area flag football player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Thursday. 

Maddie Bridges, Jr., Steinbrenner: Finished with a combined 11 tackles (flag pulls) and six sacks in three games, including one against Tampa Catholic on the final play to secure a victory and an undefeated week. 

Kiyah Calise, So., Nature Coast: Picked off two passes and had a touchdown reception in a win over Central. 

Maggie Lauber, Sr., Durant: Accounted for 227 yards (191 passing, 36 rushing) and four touchdowns (three passing, one rushing) in a win over Strawberry Crest. 

Lucy Montiegel, Jr., Alonso: Picked off three passes, including one returned for a touchdown, in a win over Sickles. 

Zakylah Segarra, Jr., Newsome: Had five for 65 yards on offense and recorded five tackles and an interception in a win over East Bay. 

Haleigh Self, Sr., Wharton: Threw for a combined 493 yards and 10 touchdowns in wins over Strawberry Crest and Freedom.  

Manasvi Vijayaraghavan, Jr., Robinson: Finished with a combined 15 catches for 168 yards and four touchdowns in wins over Hillsborough and Plant. 

A’anyah Youngblood, Jr., Northeast: Recorded three interceptions in a win over Pinellas Park.
