Here are the nominees for the Pasco County softball pitcher of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Thursday. 

Jordan Ankers, So., Wesley Chapel: Threw four scoreless innings, allowing one hit while striking out four in a win over Boca Ciega. 

Elizabeth Billett, Sr., Mitchell: Finished with a three-hit shutout and recorded seven strikeouts in a win over Sunlake. 

Shannon Kendall, Jr., Academy at the Lakes: Tossed a combined four scoreless, no-hit innings with eight strikeouts in wins over Admiral Farragut and Clearwater Central Catholic. 

Aliana Mercado, Sr., Land O’ Lakes: Gave up a combined three runs (two earned) with 16 strikeouts in wins over Mitchell and Steinbrenner. 

Jayda Smith, Sr., River Ridge: Hurled a two-hitter, allowing one unearned run with 13 strikeouts in a win over Pasco.
