Here are the nominees for the Hernando County girls basketball player of the year. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Thursday. 

Paige Atwater, So., Weeki Wachee: The Gulf Coast 8 player of the year averaged 15.4 points, 2.3 steals and 2.1 rebounds per game. 

Gabriella Lee, Sr., Nature Coast: Finished with a team-leading 18.1 points per game and had 2.8 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game. 

Kayla Holloman, Jr., Hernando: Consistent scorer who averaged 11.9 points per game for the Leopards. 

Quintara Norwood, Jr., Nature Coast: Averaged 8.5 rebounds and 5.5 points per game while helping the Sharks go 13-8 this season. 

Linsey Orr, Jr., Weeki Wachee: Made her presence known inside by averaging 12.8 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. 

Samantha Suarez, Jr., Springstead: Versatile playmaker averaged 9.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 3.9 assists per game.
