Softball: Tampa Bay area player of the week — March 13-18

Here are the nominees for the Tampa Bay area hitter of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday.

Paige Bergen, Sr., Steinbrenner: Went a combined 7-for-15 with a homer, three doubles and two RBIs in four games at the Bay Made Invitational. 

Elise Graham, Jr., St. Petersburg Catholic: Had a homer, five RBIs and two runs scored in a win over Bishop McLaughlin. 

Keeland Moore, Fr., Clearwater Central Catholic: Went 3-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run scored in a win over Bradenton Manatee.  

Holland Poe, So., Berkeley Prep: Finished a combined 7-for-12 with a double, an RBI and six runs scored to help the Buccaneers finish as the Bay Made Invitational runnerup. 

Nidgi Schnaeidr, Sr., Academy at the Lakes: Went 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI in a win over Seven Rivers Christian. 

Morgen Talley, So., Calvary Christian: Ended up going a combined 7-for-13 with four homers, two doubles and nine RBIs in four games to lead the Warriors to the Bay Made Invitational title. 

Samantha Thompson, Jr., Hernando: Finished a combined 7-for-13 with a homer, two doubles, seven RBIs and three runs scored in four games at the Bay Made Invitational.
