Baseball: Hillsborough County hitter of the week — March 13-18

Here are the nominees for the Hillsborough County hitter of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Monday. 

Rhys Brush, Fr., Armwood: Ended up going a combined 5-for-10 with a double, four RBIs and two runs scored in wins over Tampa Bay Tech, Middleton and Spoto at Saladino Baseball Tournament. 

Evan Dempsey, Sr., Newsome: Went on a tear at the Saladino Baseball Tournament, going a combined 7-for-10 with two homers, including a walkoff grand slam, to go along with eight RBIs and five runs scored in three games. 

Joshua Hines, Sr., Jesuit: Ended up going a combined 7-for-14 with two doubles and three RBIs in wins over Wharton, Gaither, Newsome and Sickles at home the Saladino Baseball Tournament title. 

Caden McDonald, Sr., Sickles: Had two hits, including a walkoff homer, to beat Jefferson at the Saladino Baseball Tournament. 

Adrian Rolon, Sr., Riverview: Finished a combined 7-for-11 with two doubles, two RBIs and five runs scored in three games at the Saladino Baseball Tournament. 

Blaine Rowland, Jr., Durant: Went a combined 6-for-10 with a homer, a double, three RBIs and two runs scored in wins over Robinson, Jefferson and Strawberry Crest at the Saladino Baseball Tournament. 

Joseph Troupe, So., Berkeley Prep: Ended up going a combined 3-for-6 with two homers, a double, five RBIs and three runs scored in wins over St. Petersburg Catholic and Clearwater Central Catholic.
