Tampa Bay Top 10 Rankings

There is a new No. 1 thanks to Lennard’s overtime win over Robinson last week. Alonso, which remains unbeaten after getting past the previously undefeated Longhorns, moves into the top spot. There could be even more changes with plenty of solid matchups this week involving ranked teams.

What to watch

Alonso (7-0) at Steinbrenner (8-1), 7:30

The top-ranked Ravens have won every game by double digits, including a victory over previously undefeated Lennard last week. The host Warriors had their six-game win streak to start the season snapped with a loss to Riverview. 

Robinson (6-1) at Newsome (4-3), 7:30

This is a matchup between the last two teams from the area to win state titles. After losing to Lennard last week, the Knights returned to being dominant, winning three straight by a combined 118-7. The host Wolves have rebounded from a 1-3 start to win their last three games by a combined 73-13. 

Plant (4-4) at Hillsborough (4-1), 7:30

The Panthers bounced back from a 1-4 start to win their last three games by a combined 80-0. The Terriers’ lone loss this season is to state powerhouse Robinson.
