Girls lacrosse: Tampa Bay area player of the year — March 27-April 1

Here are the nominees for the Tampa Bay area girls lacrosse player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday. 

Ashlyn Bell, So., Plant: Finished with a combined eight assists and seven goals to help the Panthers go 2-1 last week. 

Lauren Brown, Sr., Academy of the Holy Names: Recorded a combined nine points and six assists in wins over Mitchell and Robinson. 

Madelyn Hughes, Fr., St. Petersburg Catholic: Ended up with a combined 12 goals, eight assists and three ground balls to help the Barons go 2-1 last week.  

Luca Mastrandrea, Fr., Berkeley Prep: Scored eight goals and had three assists in a win over St. Petersburg Catholic. 

Angela Montana, Jr., Freedom: Led the Patriots with six goals in a win over Wharton. 

Mia Proctor, Jr., Newsome: Ended up with a combined eight goals, two assists and two ground balls in two games. 

Kristin Rasmussen, Jr., St. Petersburg: Finished with a combined nine goals, eight assists and three ground balls to help the Green Devils go 2-1 for the week. 

Brynlee Rhodes, So., Bloomingdale: Recorded five goals, four ground balls and two assists in a win over Alonso. 

Alyssa Russo, Sr., Cypress Creek: Finished with a combined nine goals, three ground balls and an assist in wins over Land O’ Lakes and Wiregrass Ranch. 

Giavanna Walters, Jr., Calvary Christian: Scored a combined 15 goals and 19 ground balls in wins over St. Petersburg, Osceola, Alonso and River Ridge.
