Girls soccer: Pasco County player of the year — April 10

Here are the nominees for the Pasco County girls soccer player of the year. The poll is meant to be fun and has no bearing on the Prime Time Preps all-county team, which will run at the end of the school year. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Thursday. 

Lauren Carmichael, Jr., Mitchell: The Sunshine Athletic Conference offensive player of the year in the West Division played a critical role in the Mustangs going 9-6-1 and reaching the Class 6A region quarterfinals. 

Faith Clark, Jr., Fivay: The Sunshine Athletic Conference defensive player of the year in the West Division had 21 goals and 15 assists this season. 

Maya Hinz, Sr., Sunlake: Finished second on the team in assists with 14 and had six goals as a midfielder for the 6A state semifinalist Seahawks. 

Abbie Pittman, Sr., Cypress Creek: The Sunshine Athletic Conference defensive player of the year in the East Division played a key role in the Coyotes run to the Class 5A state semifinals.  

Allison Souers, Jr., Cypress Creek: Finished with 30 goals and 10 assists for the state semifinalist Coyotes. 

Adia Symmonds, So., Sunlake: Steady performer who had 17 goals and nine assists for the state semifinalist Seahawks this season.

Campbell Taylor, Jr., Sunlake: The Sunshine Athletic Conference offensive player of the year in the East Division finished with 26 goals and 15 assists to lead the Seahawks to the Class 6A state semifinals.  

Mia Watkins, Sr., Gulf: Scored 26 goals and had six assists in leading the Buccaneers to an 11-6 record this season.
