No. 8 Lakeland (14-5) at No. 1 Steinbrenner (16-1), 7

The Warriors, who have won 14 straight games, are ranked No. 6 in the class by MaxPreps. Nine of their victories during this current streak are by double digits. 

After starting the season 10-1, the Dreadnaughts have gone 4-4 in their last eight games.

The Mustangs are battle-tested. All six of their losses have come against some of the state’s best teams. And each of those losses were by single digits. 

Since starting the season 4-3, the host Ravens have won 10 of their last 11 games, including a 14-7 victory over Palm Harbor University in last week’s 2A-11 district final.

No. 7 Palm Harbor University (14-4) at No. 2 Plant (13-5), 7

The host Panthers, ranked No. 8 in the class by MaxPreps, have come together at the right time, winning seven straight games. Last week, they beat Bartow and Newsome by a combined 43-5 to take home the 2A-9 district title. 

The Hurricanes’ loss to Alonso in last week’s 2A-11 district final snapped their 10-game win streak.

No. 5 Fort Myers Bishop Verot (15-3) at No. 4 Calvary Christian (16-1), 4:15

The Vikings’ three losses this season are by a combined nine goals. Two of those were each by a goal, including last week’s 1A-12 district final. 

The host Crusaders, meanwhile, have been one of the area’s hottest teams with 11 straight wins, the last coming against Osceola in th 1A-10 district title game.
