Sickles (20-2) at Durant (17-4), 7

The Gryphons won the first meeting 4-0 in the opener of the Saladino Baseball Tournament. Sickles went to reach the final of the tournament and is currently on a 12-game win streak. The host Cougars have won seven of their last eight games, the lone loss in that span coming in nine innings to Strawberry Crest last week. 

Newsome (14-7) at Plant (15-5), 7

The Wolves need a win to boost their ranking for a potential at-large playoff bid if they are unable to take home next week’s district title. That could be tough against the Panthers, the top-ranked team in 7A, Region 2. 

Bloomingdale (13-8) at Strawberry Crest (15-6), 7

The Bulls will try to slow down a Chargers’ offense that has scored nine or more runs in five of the past seven games. 

Hernando (18-4) at Bishop McLaughlin (12-5), 7

The Leopards won the first two meetings, both of which were low-scoring games dominated by stellar pitching. Since the last loss to Hernando, the Hurricanes have bounced back, winning three of their last four games. 

IMG Academy (22-0) at Jesuit (20-3), 7

This is a rematch from a game the Ascenders won 9-8 earlier this month by scoring in the bottom of the ninth inning to keep their perfect record intact. Since that loss, the Tigers have won four straight games, including a victory over Calvary Christian last week. That gives Jesuit plenty of confidence that it can knock off the nation’s top-ranked team. 

Cypress Creek (12-8) at Land O’ Lakes (17-6), 7

The Gators won the first meeting 12-0 last month. The Coyotes have rebounded since then, winning four of their last five games. But they are not the only team with momentum. Land O’ Lakes enters on a four-game win streak.
