Here are the nominees for the Hernando County baseball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Thursday. 

Colten Cloud, Jr., Hernando: Threw a three-hit shutout with nine strikeouts in a win over Lecanto. 

Richard Engley, Sr., Central: Finished with a combined 4-for-6 with a double, an RBI and three runs scored in a pair of games against Springstead. 

Gavin McMurdo, Sr., Nature Coast: Had a combined four hits, including two doubles, in wins over Crystal River and South Sumter. 

Saul Melendez, Fr., Weeki Wachee: Ended up going 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a run scored in a win over Citrus.

Elyjah Saye, Jr., Springstead: Went a combined 4-for-6 with a double, four RBIs and four runs scored in wins over Central and Mitchell.
