Softball: Hillsborough County pitcher of the week — May 8-12

Here are the nominees for the Hillsborough County softball pitcher of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday. 

Natalie Cable, So., Bloomingdale: Led the Bulls by hurling a one-hit shutout with 13 strikeouts in a win over Wiregrass Ranch in the Class 6A region quarterfinals. 

Kaia Cortes, Jr., Berkeley Prep: Went 6 ⅓ innings, giving up three earned runs on four hits while striking out four in a win over Tampa Catholic in the Class 3A region quarterfinals. 

Mimi Gooden, Sr., Gaither: Threw a one-hitter, allowing two earned runs while striking out 13 in a win over Sickles in the Class 6A region quarterfinals. 

KK Hollenkamp, Jr., Academy of the Holy Names: Hurled a three-hitter, giving up one unearned run while striking out nine in a win over Lakeland McKeel Academy in the Class 3A region quarterfinals. 

Cassidy Masters, Jr., Plant: Finished with a four-hitter, allowing two earned runs while striking out three in a win over Newsome in the Class 7A region quarterfinals.

Lilly Patton, Fr., Steinbrenner: Threw a three-hitter, allowing four runs (three earned) while striking out four in a win over Lakewood Ranch in the Class 7A region quarterfinals. 

Kohana Pousson, Sr., Robinson: Finished with a two-hitter, allowing one unearned run while striking out 13 in a win over Bonita Springs in the Class 4A region quarterfinals.
