Outlook

The Dragons, ranked fifth in the class by MaxPreps, are in the state semifinals for the second time in the last three seasons. They have done it by surviving some marathon games, beating Robinson in nine innings in the region semifinals and outlasting two-time defending state semifinalist Dunedin in 12 innings in the region final. Jefferson enters on a five-game win streak and has allowed two runs or less in four of those games. Bishop Kenny, which started the season 7-9, has won 11 of its last 12 games, including seven straight.
