Here are the nominees for the Tampa Bay area softball pitcher of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday. 

Cassidy Masters, Jr., Plant: Threw three scoreless innings, allowing two hits while striking out five in a win over Windermere in the Class 7A region final. 

Aliana Mercado, Sr., Land O’ Lakes: Led the Gators by throwing a three-hit shutout with four strikeouts in a win over Bloomingdale in the Class 6A region final that lasted 10 innings. 

Kohana Pousson, Sr., Robinson: Threw a three-hitter, allowing one earned run while striking out 16 in a win over LaBelle in the Class 4A region semifinals. 

Jayda Smith, Sr., River Ridge: Ended up throwing a six-hitter, allowing one earned while striking out eight in 

Morgen Talley, So., Calvary Christian: Recorded a three-hit shutout with three strikeouts in a win over Fort Myers Bishop Verot in the Class 3A region final.
