Girls soccer: Pinellas County player of the year (Classes 7A-5A) — June 6

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County girls soccer player of the year in classes 7A-5A. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Thursday.

Ellie Carrington, Sr., Seminole: One of the area’s top scorers, Carrington helped the Warhawks reach the Class 5A region quarterfinals. 

Anna Cubito, Sr., St. Petersburg: Finished with 12 goals in helping the Green Devils reach the Class 5A region quarterfinals. 

Kassie Fragale, Jr., Palm Harbor University: Scored a team-high 20 goals and had six assists for the Class 7A state semifinalist Hurricanes. 

Katie Koncal, Sr., East Lake: Ended up with 19 goals and 13 assists to lead the Eagles to the Class 6A region semifinals. 

Crosby Nicholson, Sr., Palm Harbor University: The steady leader had eight goals and four assists to help the Hurricanes reach the Class 7A state semifinals. 

Lindsay Nicholson, Jr., Palm Harbor University: Finished with 18 goals and six assists during the Hurricanes’ run to the Class 7A state semifinals. 

Kelli Slater, Sr., Osceola: Recorded 11 assists and seven goals for the Warriors this past season.
