Boys soccer: Pinellas County player of the year (Classes 7A-5A) — June 12

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County boys soccer player of the year in Classes 7A-5A. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Wednesday. 

Jared Chavez, Sr., Hollins: Recorded 22 goals and four assists for the Royals this past season. 

Blake Disler, Sr., St. Petersburg: Finished with 12 goals and eight assists to help the Green Devils reach the conference title match. 

Cameron Harris, Jr., Largo: Ended up with a team-high 17 goals to help the Packers get to the Class 6A region quarterfinals. 

Luke Matzelle, Sr., East Lake: Scored a team-high 16 goals and had four assists to help the Eagles reach the Class 6A region final. 

Jayder Moreno, Sr., Clearwater: Ended up with eight goals and four assists for the Tornadoes this past season. 

Josh Pursley, Sr., Osceola: Had a team-leading 11 goals and had two assists to help the Warriors reach the Class 5A region final. 

Asher Rosen, Sr., Palm Harbor University: Finished with a team-leading 11 goals and had three assists for the Class 7A region quarterfinalist Hurricanes. 

Aleksander Ucukalo, Sr., Northeast: Ended up with 17 goals and six assists to help the Vikings reach the Class 5A region quarterfinals.
